What kind of information is being posted by the library accounts above? What kind of information should libraries post?

Libraries post about closing for weekends, programs, etc.

Information that libraries should be posting are things that are upcoming and not out of date i.e., Read away your fines day at Shawnessy on September 5. This type of thing could cause problems n'est pas?

Librarything

Did I find this site user-friendly?

I found it somewhat user-friendly. Didn't like the idea that when I signed up (not mentioning my location anywhere, anyhow) it somehow tagged me as being in Calgary. I will use the site at work, but for this reason, definitely NOT at home.

Calendars

Do you see yourself using these tools or will you stick to more traditional methods.

I don't see myself using these tools. I'm kind of attached to my daytimer. Call me crazy!

Flickr and Youtube

Both are user-friendly. I've never used Flickr before and probably won't. I've used Youtube for instructional videos. A lot of time it's just people wanting their 15 (5) minutes of fame though, but what the heck.

RSS

Yes, I was successful in setting up my RSS. Yes it does make the information-gathering more convenient.

Google

What do you like about the Google product? What do you dislike? Would you recommend the product to friends and colleagues?

Everyone uses google earth, groups, finance, etc., but I was surprised at Google Books. You can get the whole book! Wasn't aware of that! Not much to dislike. Yes, I would recommend Google it.
